1985 Raleigh Prestige

I started a series about bikes from the 1980s specifically aimed at new triathletes. Often called the Something Triathlon. I already looked at the Raleigh Triathlon and the Dave Scott Centurion Ironman. Both from 1987.

The idea of the brands was to offer something pretty well specced and a for a decent price. Not as good as a full custom bike used by roadies. But better than a standard off-the-peg sports 10-speed.

The Raleigh Prestige is not really one of them. But I just like the ad. And the Suntour stuff. BTW. I spoke about Pete Penseyres in TSP3.
